Last Updated: March 24, 2024

1. Introduction

Welcome to AI Notes. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our Text-to-Voice, YouTube Summary, and PDF-to-Voice services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us when using our core modules:

  • Content Data: Text, YouTube URLs, and PDF documents you upload for processing.
  • Usage Data: Information on how you interact with our services (e.g., voice preferences, processing frequency).
  • Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication tokens.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to provide and improve our services:

  • To convert your text and documents into high-quality audio.
  • To analyze YouTube video content and generate summarized notes as requested.
  • To optimize our AI models for better accuracy and performance.

4. Third-Party Services & APIs

Our application integrates with several industry-leading APIs to provide specialized functionality:

  • YouTube API Services: We access YouTube content through official APIs. We do not store your YouTube login credentials or private data from your YouTube account.
  • AI & TTS Engines: We may share uploaded text or document content with third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google Cloud TTS) for the sole purpose of processing and conversion. These partners do not use your data for their own marketing.

5. Data Retention

Uploaded PDFs and text are typically stored temporarily in our secure cloud while being processed. Once the audio conversion is complete and the file is delivered to you, we purge source documents according to our security protocols, unless you explicitly choose to save them to your account library.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can contact us at any time to exercise these rights.
